Long time, no see?
I can’t tell you how hectic my life has been in the past few months. Never mind, I hope you are enjoying winters and this unexpected monsoon 😉 . I really can’t believe we are already at the end of this year. 2020 is about of end but the pandemic is still present. It all started with the coronavirus news and then the lockdown and unlock and now it is the ‘new normal’. No matter how much we all hate this but sadly, it is the reality. With this new normal and unlock thing happening, weddings, although intimate are happening this December. In case if you too are going to attend any wedding this month, I’m here to share with you your little “glow getter.”
We all know how important exfoliating is for special occasions and for winters Vasu Kumkumadi Tailam Sugar Scrub is my recent best friend. With my brother’s ‘baat pakki‘ happening, I have been attending many gatherings lately. And the only special skin care I have been doing before attending those get-together is scrubbing my face with this little baby.
This scrub however looks small in the packaging but it will last long. I have used it around 8 – 10 times but you can hardly make out if it is used in the below picture. I take a tiny amount and that’s actually enough for my face and neck.
Vasu Kumkumadi Tailam Sugar Scrub has taken me back to the days when I read about sugar as an exfoliant. It might sound funny but yes, I have used granulated sugar as a face scrub back in my school days. Apart from sugar, this scrub comes with kumkadi tailum i.e. saffron oil in it. Saffron, as we all know is known to provide glow to the skin. It also contain Vitamin E which again is known for good skin.
Now coming to the packaging, it comes in a plastic transparent jar with inner lid. It is further safely packed in cardboard box. All the details are printed in gold on both the jar and the box. I think a glass jar with gold lid would have given this product a luxurious look. Considering the price, I believe packaging would have been better. The actual product is like a thick brown paste containing minute sugar particles.
Like I mentioned above, I take a tiny amount and rub the scrub on my wet face and neck. When you start scrubbing, the sugar particles in it dissolves. I rub it for a minute or more and then wash off. It removes all the dirt, grime and sebum. As claimed, it is a mild exfoliant which moisturises the skin. I see a nice, subtle, healthy glow on my face post use. My skin doesn’t feel dry after using Vasu Kumkumadi Tailam Sugar Scrub.Â
Overall, it is a nice scrub that you can use for normal to dry skin. It moisturises and gives a healthy glow. The only concern is the price. It cost for 750 bucks. But you can easily it for half the MRP on Amazon or VasuStore now.
That’s it for today. If you found this review helpful, do share this post with others. Follow me on Instagram and Youtube has I have new video coming this week. Keep visiting this space for more informative contents.
